🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

Eau de parfum, 50 ml, with around 20% fragrance oil, the same concentration across every scent we make. At €25 it is an affordable way to try this style of fragrance, with free shipping on orders from €49 and delivery in 2 to 5 working days.

Creed sells Silver Mountain Water as an eau de parfum too, noticeably richer than an eau de toilette would be, though nowhere near the weight of an extrait de parfum. Sillage stays moderate through the day, which suits an aromatic fragrance built around green tea rather than heavier woods.

As a fragrance dupe it aims to recreate the accord rather than just list the same notes, and it is made with French fragrance oils, handmade in small batches, vegan and cruelty free. You have 15 days to exchange it if it is not for you.

NOTES

Top notes

Bergamot, mandarin

Heart notes

Green tea, blackcurrant

Base notes

Galbanum, musk, sandalwood, petitgrain

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Skyfall is our perfume dupe of Creed Silver Mountain Water, one of the Creed dupes people ask about most once they smell it on someone else. It opens on bright bergamot and mandarin, moves into a green tea and blackcurrant heart, then settles into a soft galbanum, musk, sandalwood and petitgrain base.

The green, aromatic accord is what people remember first: crisp rather than sweet, closer to fresh water and green tea leaves than to citrus cologne, and it smells like the original from the first spray. Projection is generous for the first couple of hours, then it pulls in and sits close to the skin, with a trail that still reaches anyone standing near you. Longevity runs five to eight hours on most skin types, and both men and women wear it well without it reading as strictly feminine on either.

This fragrance dupe is also sold as a clone by other sellers, but ours leans harder into the bergamot-and-musk combination that makes Silver Mountain Water so recognisable. Between the top notes and the base, the green tea heart carries the shift that perfumers usually label the middle notes, and it keeps the musk from ever turning heavy. It's one of our better alternative picks among the green, aromatic perfumes we make, and one of the more requested perfumes we get asked to clone again.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Skyfall

Inspired by: Silver Mountain Water, Creed

Skyfall works best from spring through summer, when a green, watery fragrance actually makes sense against the weather. It thins out once real winter cold sets in and heavier fragrances take over, but for three seasons of the year one spray carries you through a working day.

Creed built Silver Mountain Water as a unisex scent, and that carries over here. It leans slightly masculine in how people describe it, but plenty of women wear it too, so treat it as close to unisex whether you are choosing it for him or for her, and as one of the safer perfume dupes to gift.

Choose our Inspiration

Creed is one of the oldest perfume houses still working today, going back to 1760, and it sits firmly in the designer and niche space that serious fragrance fans follow closely. Silver Mountain Water arrived in 1995, created for Prince Albert of Monaco, and it has stayed one of the house's most requested scents ever since, with reviews still turning up across enthusiast forums today.

People usually just call it Silver Mountain Water rather than adding the Creed name every time, and it is one of the first fragrances that comes up whenever someone asks about clean, luxury-leaning scents that do not shout for attention. Every honest review says the same thing: it wears close to the skin, not the room.

Why choose us?

Skyfall is our alternative to Creed Silver Mountain Water. It is our own blend, made with French fragrance oils and filled by hand in small batches rather than mass produced.

We only make it as an eau de parfum, since that is the concentration the original itself uses and it is where this green, aromatic style holds together best. If it does not smell similar to what you were expecting, you have 15 days to send it back and exchange it.
