🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

Luxurious is an eau de parfum, 50 ml, with around 20% fragrance oil. It is €25, like every other scent we make, no matter which original it follows. Free shipping applies from €49 and delivery takes 2 to 5 working days.

Louis Vuitton sells the original Ombre Nomade as an eau de parfum too, so Luxurious matches that concentration, denser than an eau de toilette and short of a full extrait de parfum, while keeping the same long lasting character.

Longevity is 8 to 12 hours, with strong projection for the first few hours before it settles closer to the skin. Handmade, vegan and cruelty free. You have 15 days to exchange Luxurious if it misses the mark.

The price stays the same whichever original a bottle follows, which is what keeps the range affordable. Read a review of Ombre Nomade and the words dense and smoky come up again and again, and that density is exactly what we went after with this fragrance.

NOTES

Top notes

Raspberry, saffron

Heart notes

Rose, frankincense, birch

Base notes

Agarwood, amber, benzoin

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Luxurious is our perfume dupe of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, made for anyone who loves that dense, smoky oud accord as an easy part of daily rotation rather than a special occasion spray. Raspberry and saffron open it, rose leads the heart alongside frankincense and birch, and it settles into agarwood, amber and benzoin.

It smells closer to standing beside a smouldering fire than to a soft, sweet fragrance. There is a fruity, almost jammy edge from the raspberry early on, then the rose and birch take over and the whole thing turns warmer and heavier as it dries down, with amber and benzoin holding the base together.

Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade is one of the house's most requested fragrances, and Luxurious is our take on that same idea rather than a rough clone. The top notes open on raspberry, the middle notes bring rose and birch forward, and the base settles into agarwood, amber and benzoin, an accord built to feel dense from the first spray.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Luxurious

Inspired by: Ombre Nomade, Louis Vuitton

Luxurious wears best from autumn into winter, when its smoky, resinous character has cold air to push against, though it holds up fine on summer evenings too if you want something with real presence.

It works for the office in small amounts, but it is really built for evenings out. Louis Vuitton positioned Ombre Nomade as unisex rather than strongly masculine or feminine, and Luxurious keeps to that, so it works just as well as a fragrance for her.

Among the scents, perfumes and fragrances we make, this is one of the densest, and it is the fragrance we point people to when they want smoky oud rather than something polite.

Choose our Inspiration

Louis Vuitton is a luxury house better known for leather than for perfume, but its fragrances have built a serious reputation since the line launched, and Ombre Nomade is the scent most people mention first when the brand comes up, closer to niche than mainstream despite the designer name on the box.

Most people just say Ombre Nomade rather than the full Louis Vuitton name. It is one of the originals that perfume dupes get built around most often, and the smoky oud category is where nearly all of that attention sits.

Every fragrance in the Louis Vuitton line tends to get described in the same terms wherever you read about it: dense, expensive-smelling, built to last. Ombre Nomade fits that pattern exactly, and it is the fragrance people ask about first when they want a dupe of a luxury oud, ahead of most other smoky perfumes and scents in the category.

Why choose us?

Luxurious is our alternative to the Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade original. It is our own dupe, built to smell like the original and made with French fragrance oils and filled by hand in small batches, the same way as every other fragrance we make.

We only make Luxurious as an eau de parfum, the same concentration as Ombre Nomade itself, because that is where this kind of dense, smoky composition sits best. If it is not similar to what you remember, send it back within 15 days and we will swap it.
