🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

Hint of Vanilla is an eau de parfum, 50 ml, with roughly 20% fragrance oil, the same across every fragrance we make. It costs €25, with free shipping on orders from €49 and delivery in 2 to 5 working days.

Tom Ford sells Tobacco Vanille as an eau de parfum, and Hint of Vanilla matches that intensity rather than anything closer to a light eau de cologne, though it still sits short of an extrait de parfum in weight. At €25 it is an affordable eau de parfum and one of the more intense fragrance dupes we make, so it is not the fragrance to reach for if you sit close to colleagues all day.

French fragrance oils, hand filled in small batches, vegan throughout. Not for you? Hint of Vanilla can be exchanged within 15 days.

NOTES

Top notes

Tobacco leaf, spices

Heart notes

Vanilla, cocoa, tonka bean, tobacco flower

Base notes

Dried fruit, woody notes

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Hint of Vanilla is our perfume dupe of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, one of the warmest scents in the range. It opens on spiced tobacco leaf, moves through a heart of vanilla, cocoa, tonka bean and tobacco flower, and finishes on dried fruit and woody notes.

This is a gourmand accord rather than a fresh one: dessert wrapped around dry tobacco leaves, sweet without tipping into sugary. Projection is strong for the first few hours and the sillage stays noticeable well into the evening, which is what people mean when they say it smells like the original from across the room. Longevity easily clears eight hours, often closer to twelve on cooler skin. It is not a straight clone of the original, just a close alternative built on the same accord.

Extremely close dupe with great performance.

To me, it smells like an expensive cherry smell, just like the original, a perfect winter fragrance.

Dolazi u čvrstoj kutiji i stakenoj bočici sa natpisom. Miris je fantastičan iako mi se čini da ne ostaje dugo na tijelu, možda nekoliko sati.

This smells like being inside a humidor combined with spicy vanilla notes. Smells spot on to Tobacco Vanille, perhaps just a hair sweeter. But I actually prefer the Chez Pierre version. Would definitely recommend!

Wow this is spot on Tobacco Vanille!!
I have sweet smoke as well by Alexandria Fragrances and although they did a good job it’s not as close as Chez Pierre I also had the original and this smells 100% spot on. It might even be a little better than TF as far as projection and longevity. Great job!!

Great perfume - in my opinions smells better and is lasting longer than Tom Fords version.

Smells amazing! I did not think I would like it as I'm not a huge fan of sweet vanilla notes in perfumes, but this has quickly become my favorite perfume in my collection. It lasts on your skin and smells just like a spicy, warm hugging vanilla. Just buy it!

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Hint of Vanilla

Inspired by: Tobacco Vanille, Tom Ford

Hint of Vanilla belongs to autumn and winter more than any other season; the tobacco and dried fruit need cold air to land properly, and it can feel heavy in summer heat. It works better for an evening out than for a desk job, since the sillage is generous enough to fill a room.

Tom Ford markets the original as unisex and ours follows that. It reads warm and spicy, closer to masculine than sweet or purely feminine, so men tend to reach for it first, though nothing about it is off limits to women: it makes a fair gift for him or for her. Read a review of the original and warmth is the thing everyone circles back to.

Choose our Inspiration

Tom Ford is an American designer house, and Private Blend is its most exclusive, luxury-leaning collection, with Tobacco Vanille sitting right at the top of it. It launched in 2007 and has stayed one of the best known scents in the range ever since, still the reference point whenever gourmand perfumes come up.

The pyramid the house lists runs top notes, middle notes and base in the usual way, with the tobacco and vanilla doing almost all of the work. Fans just call it Tobacco Vanille rather than adding the Tom Ford name, and it turns up in any review of warm, spicy scents for cold weather.

Why choose us?

Hint of Vanilla is our alternative to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. It is our own blend, made with French fragrance oils and filled by hand in small batches rather than mass produced on a line, and it sits among the warmer, spicier perfumes we make.

We make it only as an eau de parfum, matching the strength of the original rather than diluting it into a lighter finish; this dupe is meant to land as heavily as what you remember. If it is not similar to what you expected, you have 15 days to send it back and exchange it.
