🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

Mirror is bottled as a 50 ml eau de parfum with close to 20% fragrance oil. The price is €25, the same across our whole range of perfumes. Free shipping on orders from €49, delivery in 2 to 5 working days.

Reflection Man is an eau de parfum, and the house also sells a denser extrait version in its higher collections. Mirror follows the standard eau de parfum, the version most people mean when they use the name.

Longevity sits around 5 to 10 hours. French fragrance oils, handmade in small batches, vegan and cruelty free, the same as all our fragrances. You have 15 days to exchange it if it isn't for you.

NOTES

Top notes

Rosemary, pink pepper, petitgrain

Heart notes

Jasmine, neroli, iris, ylang-ylang

Base notes

Sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, cedar

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Mirror is our perfume dupe of Reflection Man, made for men who want a scent that reads clean and put-together without trying too hard. It opens on rosemary, pink pepper and petitgrain, moves into a jasmine, neroli, iris and ylang-ylang heart, and settles on sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver and cedar.

The rosemary-petitgrain accord keeps the opening sharp and green, then the florals soften things without turning sweet, and the base brings a warm, woody finish that lasts well into the evening. It is understated rather than loud, the kind of fragrance that works as well in a boardroom as it does over dinner.

Mirror is one of the quieter dupes in our range, an affordable alternative for anyone who already reaches for niche perfumes and wants a second bottle for everyday. The neroli is the reason: it stays noticeable through the middle notes, long after the top notes have gone, and that is what makes it read closer to the original than most fragrances in this style.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Mirror

Inspired by: Reflection Man, Amouage

Mirror works well year-round, though the woody base comes through most clearly from autumn into winter, and it eases off a little once summer heat sets in. It suits a work day as easily as an evening out, since the sillage stays close rather than filling a room.

One spray in the morning usually carries through most of the day, and the base notes keep it quietly present into the evening. It is a masculine, everyday fragrance for him first of all, but a green, woody profile is nobody's private property, and it works just as well as a scent for her.

Choose our Inspiration

Reflection Man comes from Amouage, a niche luxury house based in Oman known for rich, layered compositions rather than mainstream releases. It is part of a two-piece Reflection line alongside a matching women's edition, and it remains one of the house's most recognised men's fragrances.

The original was made for men who want a fragrance with real depth, and people usually shorten the name to Reflection. Read a review of it and the neroli is what gets singled out, because that is the note most clone attempts flatten.

Why choose us?

Mirror is our perfume dupe of that original, built to capture the same fresh, woody character with French fragrance oils and handmade filling in small batches. If you like the niche original and want something similar to reach for on an ordinary Tuesday, this is our take on it, and one of the calmer fragrances in the range.

We only make it as an eau de parfum, since that concentration best holds the sharp, green opening against the warm, woody base. Of all the perfumes we have built dupes of, this is the one where a single note decides how close it reads. If it doesn't feel close enough to what you remember, you have 15 days to exchange it.
