🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

You get Mind Games as an eau de parfum, 50 ml, at about 20% fragrance oil. We charge €25 for it, the same as for anything else on the shelf. Free shipping applies on orders from €49, and delivery takes 2 to 5 working days.

Carolina Herrera sells Good Girl as an eau de parfum, so Mind Games matches that same concentration, keeping the original's density rather than the lighter eau de toilette some dupes settle for. That is part of why the coffee and tonka bean come through as strongly as they do.

Longevity is 5 to 10 hours. Made with French fragrance oils, handmade, vegan and cruelty free. Fifteen days to swap Mind Games for something else if it does not suit you.

NOTES

Top notes

Almond, coffee, bergamot, lemon

Heart notes

Jasmine sambac, tuberose, Bulgarian rose, orange blossom

Base notes

Tonka bean, cocoa, vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Mind Games is our perfume dupe of Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, made for anyone who wants that bold almond and coffee opening as an everyday scent. It opens on almond, coffee, bergamot and lemon, moves into jasmine sambac, tuberose, Bulgarian rose and orange blossom in the middle notes, and settles on tonka bean, cocoa, vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli.

The coffee and almond accord up top is the part everyone recognises, sharp and a little bitter rather than sweet. Give it half an hour and the white florals take over, then the tonka bean and cocoa pull it into a warm, sweet base that smells like dessert without turning sugary. Projection is strong through the first few hours, then it settles close to the skin but stays noticeable well into the evening.

Mind Games isn't a clone stamped from a single mould; it's our own alternative fragrance, one dupe among countless perfume dupes chasing that coffee-almond opening, made to be an affordable everyday perfume rather than a rare treat saved for special occasions.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Mind games

Inspired by: Good Girl, Carolina Herrera

Mind Games works best from autumn through winter, when the warm tonka and cocoa base has something to hold onto, though the citrus and almond up top keep it wearable in summer too. A single spray before you leave the house carries the whole day.

It is built and marketed as a feminine fragrance for her, and that is how most women wear it, though the coffee and cocoa base has enough bite that plenty of men reach for it too. Carolina Herrera never called Good Girl unisex, and on skin Mind Games reads closer to masculine strength than most gourmand scents aimed at women. Good for a night out and composed enough for the office, and the vanilla base has a habit of still being there on a scarf the next morning.

Choose our Inspiration

Carolina Herrera is a Spanish-Venezuelan fashion and perfume house, and Good Girl launched in 2016 to instant attention, largely thanks to its stiletto-shaped bottle. It quickly became one of the house's best known perfumes and fragrances, sitting between designer and niche in how it is talked about online, the kind of luxury fragrance people search for by name.

The idea behind it was a deliberate contrast, a good girl with a bad streak, and that tension between the bitter coffee opening and the sweet tonka base is what people mean when they say it smells like Good Girl and nothing else quite does. Read any review of the original and the coffee opening comes up first, which is also what the whole crop of Good Girl dupes is chasing.

Why choose us?

Mind Games is our alternative to Carolina Herrera's Good Girl, one of the more talked-about Carolina Herrera perfumes around, and this dupe leans into that coffee-almond signature more than most. It is our own blend, built to be similar to the original and made with French fragrance oils, filled by hand in small batches rather than run through a factory line.

We only make it as an eau de parfum, because a lighter concentration would lose the coffee and tonka bean too quickly. If it is not similar to what you remember from the original, send it back within 15 days and we will swap it.
