🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

This is an eau de parfum, 50 ml, with roughly 20% fragrance oil. It costs an affordable €25, the same price as every other scent we make, whatever the original behind it. Free shipping applies on orders from €49, with delivery in 2 to 5 working days.

Bleu itself comes in eau de toilette, eau de parfum and a parfum concentration, so Blue Chance follows the eau de parfum version, denser than the toilette without going as heavy as the pure parfum. Whichever Bleu concentration you know, the price here is the same.

Longevity runs 5 to 10 hours. Handmade with French fragrance oils, vegan and never tested on animals. You get 15 days to exchange it if it does not suit you.

NOTES

Top notes

Grapefruit, lemon, mint, pink pepper, bergamot, aldehydes, coriander

Heart notes

Ginger, jasmine, nutmeg, melon

Base notes

Incense, amber, cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, labdanum, amberwood

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Blue Chance is our perfume dupe of Bleu, made for men who want that clean citrus-woody signature without wearing the same bottle as everyone else. It opens on grapefruit, lemon, mint, pink pepper and bergamot, moves through ginger, jasmine, nutmeg and melon, and settles on incense, amber, cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, labdanum and amberwood.

The citrus opening is sharp and bright for the first twenty minutes, then it dries down into something warmer and woodier that lasts through the day. Projection is strong for the first two hours, then it settles into a close, skin-level trail, and it smells like the original from the very first spray.

The base notes carry most of the weight after the first hour, with amberwood and sandalwood keeping the trail going long after the citrus has faded. As a fragrance dupe it is our own take rather than a clone stamped from someone else's mould, and it still reads as one of the sharper citrus-woody fragrances we make for men.

I bought eight different ones at almost random. This one was by far my favorite. It’s light, refreshing and I hardly even notice at first I’m wearing it. You just smell like you stand in a herb garden in the rain and everything is just right.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Blue Chance

Inspired by: Bleu de

Blue Chance works through most of the year, but it earns its keep in spring and summer when the citrus and mint can breathe. In winter it still holds up thanks to the amber and cedar underneath, just with less lift in the first ten minutes.

Most people wear it as a masculine everyday fragrance, for the office as much as an evening out, and one or two sprays at the collar carry a full day. Like the rest of our perfume dupes, it is made for regular wear rather than saved for occasions.

The sharp grapefruit and mint opening keeps it closer to unisex than most of our citrus fragrances, with enough of a feminine edge that it works for her on a warm afternoon just as well.

Choose our Inspiration

The original behind Blue Chance is one of the best-selling designer fragrances aimed at men, and it has held that place for years without needing much reinvention. Its reputation rests on being a daily, citrus-forward signature fragrance rather than a statement piece.

People usually just say Bleu when they ask for it, dropping the rest of the name entirely. It is one of those fragrances that no longer needs its full title. That is the fragrance Blue Chance takes its cue from: our own alternative, built independently, close in character but carrying none of the original branding or house name.

The house behind Bleu sits near the top of luxury perfumery, one of the few designer names people mention alongside niche labels rather than mass-market fragrances. It is the luxury end of the designer shelf rather than a niche release, and the citrus-and-amber accord is the part almost everyone picks out, which is why Bleu dupes get searched for so often.

Why choose us?

Blue Chance is our own dupe of Bleu, not an official release and not connected to the original brand in any way. It is simply our alternative, made with French fragrance oils and filled by hand in small batches like the rest of our fragrances.

We make it only as an eau de parfum, since that concentration holds the citrus and amber together best across a full wearing, with the same top, middle notes and base you would recognise from Bleu itself. If it does not smell like what you expected, you have 15 days to send it back.

It is an affordable everyday alternative rather than a limited release. Blue Chance is one of several Bleu dupes we get asked about, and the amber-cedar base is what keeps the fragrance on track once the citrus fades.
