Poudree is sold as an eau de parfum, so Nude Pudere matches that concentration, dense enough to keep the powdery musk close to the skin for hours rather than fading within the first spray.

Longevity sits at 5 to 10 hours. Handmade with French fragrance oils, vegan, and never tested on animals. Not for you? Nude Pudere can be exchanged within 15 days.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Nude Pudere is our perfume dupe of Narciso Rodriguez Poudree, made for women who want something soft and powdery rather than loud. It opens on jasmine, Bulgarian rose and orange blossom, rests on musk through the heart, and settles on coumarin, cedar, vetiver and patchouli.

The musk is what carries Poudree, and it reads powdery and skin-close rather than sharp on Nude Pudere too, closer to warm cotton than to classic florals. The rose and orange blossom fade fast, leaving the coumarin and cedar to hold the base for the rest of the day.

This fragrance is often filed next to other Poudree dupes and clones, though we simply call it an alternative built to feel similar to the original from the first spray. The musk itself sits between the citrus opening and the base, forming what some perfumers call the middle notes, and it holds the whole accord together. It's one of the softer scents from our house, and for her it plays as an easy everyday luxury rather than something saved for one big night out.

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

Nude Pudere works well year round, though it earns its keep most in the colder months, when the powdery musk reads warmer against bare skin. It also suits a summer evening, worn lightly rather than sprayed heavily.

It is built as a feminine fragrance, made for her first, and it works as well for the office as for an evening out. Though it's built primarily for women, a few men who prefer a masculine musk over sweet colognes wear it for him too, closer to unisex than most powdery scents on the market. Like the rest of our perfume dupes, it stays affordable, and one spray at the wrist is usually enough since the musk builds rather than fades.
