WHAT DO YOU DO?
MEET THE CHEZ PIERRE SCENT FAMILY
Lately we have been getting a lot of messages about perfume for work, because unfortunately, our work environment does not always let us express ourselves fully - there are norms we are expected to follow, and that is not always easy.
Whatever your situation is, we think you deserve to smell wonderful, and we will find an alternative, whatever your job may be.
Perfumes for different work settings
Office and enclosed spaces
Clean, dry scents that stay in your own circle instead of filling the whole room.
Working close to people
Soft and unobtrusive, for a job where you stand one step away from someone.
Long shifts and uniforms
Heavy bases that last from your morning spray to the end of the shift, no touch-ups.
Working from home and meetings
For days when you set the rules, or when you go straight out after the office.
Two things few people know
Does perfume smell different in a lab or a kitchen?
It smells the same, you just stop noticing it. In a space full of strong smells - a lab, a kitchen, a salon, a surgery - your nose adapts fastest, and after about fifteen minutes it stops registering your own perfume. To you it seems gone, while everyone around you still smells it perfectly clearly.
What is the Elevator Rule?
Imagine stepping into a full elevator. If someone turns around, it is too much. If nobody notices anything even standing right next to you, it is too little. At work, perfume should be noticed one step away, not across the room. In practice: two sprays, on skin rather than clothes, below neck level - your body heat lifts the scent through the day.
