🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

Magnificent is bottled as a 50 ml eau de parfum with close to 20% fragrance oil. It costs €25, the same affordable price as every scent we make, whatever original sits behind it. Free shipping applies from €55, and delivery runs 2 to 5 working days.

Fucking Fabulous itself is sold as an eau de parfum, so Magnificent matches that concentration rather than going lighter, the way an eau de toilette or eau de cologne would, or heavier, the way an extrait de parfum does.

Longevity sits around 6 to 10 hours on skin, long lasting enough to carry through a full day at the office. French fragrance oils, handmade, vegan, cruelty free, and never tested on animals. You get 15 days to exchange it if it is not for you.

NOTES

Top notes

Lavender, clary sage

Heart notes

Leather, bitter almond, vanilla, orris root

Base notes

Tonka bean, cashmere wood, white wood, amber

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Magnificent is our perfume dupe of Fucking Fabulous by Tom Ford, built for people who already love that leather-and-vanilla signature and want it as an everyday bottle rather than something saved for special nights. Lavender and clary sage open it, leather, bitter almond, vanilla and orris root carry the heart (or middle notes, if that is the term you grew up with), and it settles into tonka bean, cashmere wood, white wood and amber.

The leather accord is what most people notice first, warmer than you would expect and softened by the bitter almond into something closer to marzipan than a saddle. The first twenty minutes lean crisp and herbal, then the tonka bean and amber take over and the dry-down turns soft, sweet and a little smoky. It smells like the original from the very first spray, stays intense without being loud, and the sillage holds well once it settles on skin.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Magnificent

Inspired by: Fucking Fabulous, Tom Ford

Magnificent works best from autumn through winter, when leather has some cold air to push against, though one spray still holds up on a summer evening once the lavender at the top has faded.

Tom Ford built the Private Blend line to sit outside the usual designer aisle, and this one never settled into a strict lane. Most people wear it as a masculine scent, plenty of men keep it as their everyday choice, and just as many women make it their own, so call it unisex, whether you lean masculine or feminine with it. For him or for her, it earns its place either way.

Choose our Inspiration

Tom Ford is the designer house built around the man's own name, and Fucking Fabulous belongs to the Private Blend range, the tier where the labels drop the polite naming and go straight for shock value. It reads as closer to niche luxury than the mainstream designer counter, one of the fragrances that keeps its own house busy answering questions from people chasing that leather-and-vanilla combination.

Most people just call it Fabulous, dropping the rest of the name in reviews and in shops, and it remains one of the more requested originals behind the wave of perfume dupes on the market, no surprise since almost every clone out there is inspired by the same leather accord.

Why choose us?

Magnificent is our alternative to Fucking Fabulous, not just a fragrance dupe but a blend we built ourselves, inspired by that same leather-and-vanilla signature, similar to the original in character without being a clone of the packaging or the box. We mix it with fragrance oil and fill every bottle by hand in small batches, the same way we do with the rest of the range.

We only make it as an eau de parfum, since that concentration is what lets leather, tonka bean and amber actually stay on skin. If the dupe just is not clicking for you, you have 15 days to send it back and swap it for something else.
