🇫🇷 French Perfumes!😶‍🌫 Long Lasting and Intense Scents!👍 Fraction of the Cost of Designer Fragrances

PRODUCT DETAILS

Pharaoh II is an eau de parfum, 50 ml, with roughly 20% fragrance oil. It costs €25, the same as every scent we make, whatever the original behind it, which keeps a niche-style fragrance actually affordable. Shipping is free from €50 and the parcel takes 2 to 5 working days.

Xerjoff sells Alexandria II as an extrait de parfum, one of the richest concentrations there is, and our eau de parfum sits a step below that in weight while keeping the same note structure. Vegan, cruelty free and never tested on animals.

Longevity runs 7 to 10 hours, with the oud and amber carrying the fragrance well past the fruity opening. Handmade in small batches. If Pharaoh II is not what you expected, you have 15 days to exchange it.

NOTES

Top notes

Rosewood, lavender, apple, cinnamon

Heart notes

Rose, cedar, lily of the valley

Base notes

Oud, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, musk

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Pharaoh II is our perfume dupe of Xerjoff Alexandria II, built around the mix of rosewood, spice and oud that made the original one of the most talked-about niche releases of its decade. It opens on rosewood, lavender, apple and cinnamon, moves into rose, cedar and lily of the valley, and settles into oud, sandalwood, amber, vanilla and musk.

The opening is unusual for a fruity fragrance, apple and cinnamon over a woody base rather than anything sharp or fresh. As the rose and cedar develop it turns more floral and grounded, and by the base the oud and amber take charge in a rich, almost resinous accord. It's the kind of scent people say smells like nothing else on the shelf, and that's exactly the reputation the original built.

Perfume concentration

EDT, EDP or EXDP - what you are actually buying

The difference between these labels is not quality but how much perfume oil sits in the bottle. That decides how long the scent stays on your skin and how far it travels.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 to 15% perfume oil

The lightest of the three. It opens fresh and fast, but fades after three to five hours. Pleasant in heat and at the office, as long as you top it up during the day.

Our choiceEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% perfume oil

The middle ground that became the standard. It lasts six to eight hours, one spray in the morning is enough, and the scent stays recognisable into the evening without filling the room.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 to 40% perfume oil

The densest form, worn in drops, and it can last over ten hours. In return it loses that easy opening, and the price per bottle climbs the most.

Why we chose EDP

Every Chez Pierre perfume is made in Eau de Parfum concentration, with 20% perfume oil. That is not by accident.

An eau de toilette would mean carrying the bottle with you and refreshing the scent after lunch. An extrait would push the price up, and only someone counting hours would notice the gain. EDP sits exactly in between: one spray in the morning carries the whole working day, and the scent opens and develops instead of settling on the skin at once.

So we don't make lighter and pricier versions of the same scent. We make one, in the concentration where that scent works best.

How a perfume is measured

Longevity, projection and sillage

Three things describe every perfume, whatever the price or the name on the bottle. Once you separate them, it is easier to say what you actually want from a scent.

01

Longevity

How many hours the scent stays on skin

Measured from the moment you spray to the moment you can no longer smell it up close. It depends on the concentration, but also on your skin: on dry skin every perfume lasts less, so a dab of unscented cream before spraying helps.

02

Projection

How far it travels around you

Strongest in the first hour, it tells you how much space the scent takes up. Big projection is great for evenings and colder days, while at the office or in a meeting it usually gets in the way more than it helps.

03

Sillage

The trail you leave behind

Pronounced „see-yazh“, it means the trail a scent leaves behind you. It is the reason someone turns around as you pass. A perfume can last a long time and still leave a small trail, and the other way round.

Strong is not the same as good. A perfume with huge projection quickly tires both you and the people around you, while one without any trail stays your own private thing.

That is why every one of our perfume descriptions says how it wears, not only how it smells.

Pharaoh II

Inspired by: Alexandria II, Xerjoff

Pharaoh II suits autumn and winter best, when the oud and amber base has cold air to work against, though a lighter hand makes it wearable on a cool summer evening too.

Xerjoff built Alexandria II without a strict men's or women's target, and Pharaoh II keeps that open approach. It reads as unisex rather than clearly masculine or feminine, so treat it as a scent for him or for her, whoever wants something richer than the usual fresh, everyday fragrance.

Choose our Inspiration

Xerjoff is an Italian niche house known for dense, maximalist compositions and elaborate bottles, and its Alexandria line is where the brand leans hardest into that identity. Alexandria II followed the original Alexandria and became the version most people actually reach for, thanks to its more wearable oud and spice balance.

Most people just say Alexandria II rather than using the full Xerjoff name every time. It's become one of the reference points other niche and luxury houses get compared to, the fragrance most perfume dupes and every other fragrance dupe on the market are trying to recreate, and the one that pulls in the most reviews on Xerjoff's own site.

Why choose us?

Pharaoh II is our alternative to Xerjoff Alexandria II, similar to the original rather than an exact clone, made with our own fragrance oil blend and filled by hand instead of mass produced in a factory.

We make it as an eau de parfum rather than the original's extrait de parfum, because that concentration keeps the price at €25 without losing the oud and rosewood character. If it doesn't smell close enough to what you remember, send it back within 15 days and we will exchange it.
