"Right out of the bottle, it hits you with bergamot, mandarin, and grapefruit, which is as bright and zesty as you’d expect. But then ginger and eucalyptus come in, adding an almost herbal sharpness. There’s also a piney note that gives it a slightly outdoorsy, crisp feel.
The citrus fades just a bit as it settles, and the floral notes start coming through. Jasmine and lily of the valley add a soft, fresh touch, but the real surprise here is the rhubarb and blood orange combination. The rhubarb of this Afternoon Swim dupe brings a tangy, almost green sharpness, while the blood orange keeps that juicy, slightly bitter sweetness alive. It’s a really unique transition; still fresh, but now with a bit of bite.
