This is an eau de parfum, 50 ml, with roughly 20% fragrance oil. It costs €25, the same price as every other scent we make, regardless of the original behind it. Free shipping applies on orders from €49, with delivery in 2 to 5 working days.

Bois d'Argent is sold as an eau de parfum, so Money Money follows the same concentration, dense enough to carry the honey and amber through a full evening rather than fading after an hour.

Longevity sits at 5 to 10 hours. Handmade with French fragrance oils, vegan, and never tested on animals. If Money Money is not what you expected, you have 15 days to exchange it.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Money Money is our perfume dupe of Bois d'Argent by Dior, a unisex fragrance for anyone who wants something sweet, resinous and a little smoky rather than fresh. It opens on iris, cypress and juniper berries, moves through myrrh and patchouli, then settles on honey, vanilla, amber, musk, leather and woody notes.

The honey and vanilla combination is what people notice first, warm and a little boozy rather than gourmand-sweet, closer to spiced mead than to dessert. The iris keeps the opening from tipping too sugary, and the leather holds the base together once the sweetness settles.

Money Money works as a clone of that resinous, honeyed accord, richer than a typical eau de cologne and built to hold up over a full evening rather than fading fast. The myrrh and patchouli stage is sometimes called the middle notes rather than the heart, and it's where the extra iris comes through against the resin.

EDT, EDP of EXDP - wat je eigenlijk koopt

Het verschil tussen deze aanduidingen zit niet in de kwaliteit, maar in hoeveel parfumolie er in het flesje zit. Dat bepaalt hoe lang de geur op je huid blijft en hoe ver hij om je heen reikt.

EDT Eau de Toilette 5 tot 15% parfumolie

De lichtste van de drie. Hij opent fris en snel, maar zakt na drie tot vijf uur weg. Prettig bij warmte en op kantoor, zolang je hem overdag bijspuit.

Onze keuzeEDP Eau de Parfum ~20% parfumolie

Het midden dat de standaard werd. Hij houdt zes tot acht uur, één spray in de ochtend is genoeg, en de geur blijft tot in de avond herkenbaar zonder de kamer te vullen.

EXDP Extrait de Parfum 20 tot 40% parfumolie

De dichtste vorm, je draagt hem in druppels en hij kan meer dan tien uur blijven. Daar staat tegenover dat de opening minder licht is en dat de prijs per flesje het hardst stijgt.

Waarom wij voor EDP kozen

Elk Chez Pierre parfum maken we in Eau de Parfum concentratie, met 20% parfumolie. Dat is geen toeval.

Een eau de toilette zou betekenen dat je het flesje meeneemt en de geur in de middag bijwerkt. Een extrait zou de prijs opdrijven, en de winst merkt alleen wie de uren telt. EDP zit er precies tussenin: één spray in de ochtend draagt de hele werkdag, en de geur opent en ontwikkelt zich in plaats van meteen op de huid te blijven liggen.

Daarom maken we geen lichtere en duurdere versies van dezelfde geur. We maken er één, in de concentratie waarin die geur het beste werkt.

Drie dingen beschrijven elk parfum, ongeacht de prijs en de naam op het flesje. Als je ze eenmaal uit elkaar haalt, is het makkelijker te zeggen wat je precies van een geur wilt.

Houdbaarheid

Hoeveel uur de geur op de huid blijft

Gemeten vanaf het moment dat je spuit tot het moment dat je hem van dichtbij niet meer ruikt. Het hangt af van de concentratie, maar ook van je huid: op een droge huid houdt elk parfum korter, dus een beetje ongeparfumeerde crème voor het spuiten helpt.

Projectie

Hoe ver hij om je heen reikt

Het sterkst in het eerste uur, en het zegt hoeveel ruimte de geur inneemt. Een grote projectie is prachtig voor de avond en koudere dagen, terwijl het op kantoor en in een vergadering meestal meer stoort dan helpt.

Het spoor dat je achterlaat

Uitgesproken als „sie-jazje“, en het betekent het spoor dat een geur achter je laat. Het is de reden dat iemand zich omdraait als je voorbijloopt. Een parfum kan lang blijven en toch een klein spoor trekken, en andersom.

Sterk is niet hetzelfde als goed. Een parfum met enorme projectie vermoeit jou en de mensen om je heen snel, terwijl een parfum zonder spoor alleen van jou blijft.
