So the majority of the population has tried some kind of fragrance on their skin but are you sure you know how to apply cologne correctly?
From our 30 years of experience in crafting perfume dupes, we have noticed divided thoughts and major disagreements on how to apply cologne appropriately so that you may fully enjoy the scent, receiving fantastic feedback from others as well!

Start after you’ve showered while your skin is still warm and your pores are open. You should wear cologne on clear skin best as the natural oils of the skin will not interfere with the scent.
It is of huge importance to know where to apply cologne. The best places to spray cologne are on pulse points, areas where you produce the most heat, such as your wrists, neck, and behind the ears, or lower stomach, and feel how body chemistry is doing the magic!
Studies have shown that the perfect amount of cologne to stay all day is 2 to 4 sprays. This amount of cologne will provide a pleasant scent without being overpowering. You should begin with a trifle of the fragrance and if you need more increase usage.
To make the scent last longer, you can layer it with a matching body spray or lotion. As a lighter scent body spray can be used on the whole body to help refresh throughout the day.
It does not have the same lasting power as Eau de Toilette or higher concentrations that are more intensive and have stronger perfume oil concentrations such as Eau de Parfum and Extract de Parfum.
Note that body spray is not meant to replace traditional colognes, but rather to supplement them.
Perfumes are a blend of water, alcohol, and essential oils. While the strengths and concentrations can vary from one product to another.

Testing the cologne is very important to find out how it will react to your skin chemistry. Please note that you won’t be able to test multiple different scents at the same time.
Here are a few steps to make sure you’ve tried a variety of scents and picked the one that is right for you.

While testing the scent in between each inhale, it can be helpful to smell something different to cleanse the nostrils (coffee works well for this).
Usually, 15 minutes will be enough for cologne to develop, and mix with the natural oils on your skin in order to get a total reflection on the particular scent symphony.
If you still love it, buy it! If there are one or more fragrances you really enjoy after the development period, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy owning that scent.
